Volunteer!

HELPLINE provides 24-hour crisis intervention, information and referral services to Monroe County. Our volunteers make reassurance phone calls to the elderly and homebound in our community. Additionally, we train caregivers, providing them with community resources to ease the difficulties associated with caring for a loved one in the home environment.

25,967 reasons to volunteer:

  • 491 homeless calls
  • 455 mental health calls
  • 22,500 calls to our seniors
  • 32 suicide calls
  • 2,355 substance abuse prevention calls
  • 77 teen calls

If you would like to explore the challenges and rewards which await you as a volunteer telephone staff member call (305) 292-8445. We welcome your call.
